Nchimbi, Japanese envoy hold talks on strengthening Tanzania–Japan ties

Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Ambassador Dr. Emmanuel Nchimbi, on Tuesday held talks with the Ambassador of Japan to Tanzania, Mikami Yoichi, at the State House in Chamwino, Dodoma, in discussions aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

The meeting focused on enhancing the long-standing cooperation between Tanzania and Japan, with emphasis on deepening collaboration in development, investment and diplomatic engagement for the mutual benefit of both nations.

The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining and expanding the strong partnership, noting Japan’s continued support to Tanzania’s development efforts and the shared vision for inclusive growth and sustainable development.

Tanzania and Japan enjoy decades of cordial relations, anchored in development cooperation, trade and people-to-people exchanges, with the latest talks underscoring the determination of both countries to further elevate the partnership.
