The Mining Commission of Tanzania has released the latest indicative prices for gold and silver, providing crucial guidance for miners, traders, and investors across the country.
Gold remains a key driver in the country’s mineral sector. On the global market, gold is currently priced at USD 4,464.40 per troy ounce, which is equivalent to TZS 354,880.98 per gram.
Locally, the indicative price for gold is slightly lower at TZS 319,392.88 per gram, while the recommended buying centre price stands at TZS 312,295.26 per gram.
Silver has maintained stable pricing trends. Globally, it is priced at USD 78.99 per troy ounce, translating to TZS 6,279.02 per gram.
In Tanzania, the mineral market price is TZS 5,651.12 per gram, and the buying centre price is set at TZS 5,525.54 per gram.
The Mining Commission uses these indicative prices to regulate mineral transactions and ensure fair trade practices between miners and buyers.
Miners are advised to refer to these rates when selling their gold and silver to authorized buying centres to avoid losses.
