Residents of Manyara region have been urged to participate in the launch of legal advisory committees at the regional and district levels, alongside a free legal clinic, aimed at providing quick and accessible legal support to citizens.
The launch will take place in Hanang district from January 19 to January 25, 2026, with the regional commissioner, Queen Cuthbert Sendiga, expected to officiate the event.
Speaking on Fm Manyara Radio today, Neema Ringo, Director of Coordination and Advisory Services at the Office of the Attorney General, said the committees are intended to hear and resolve legal challenges affecting residents. “I urge citizens with legal issues to use these committees to find solutions promptly,” Ringo said.
Lameck Buntuntu, Acting Government Attorney and Chair of the Manyara Legal Advisory Committee, added that the committees aim to respond quickly to complaints from the public.
Meanwhile, Neema Gasabile, Secretary of the regional legal advisory committee, said the regional office has been receiving numerous cases, and the committees will help ensure timely resolution.
The initiative is part of the government’s efforts to increase access to justice and legal services at the local level, particularly for communities that face barriers in obtaining legal support.
The free legal clinic will operate at the Mount Hanang grounds, providing citizens with professional advice without any cost, ensuring that legal assistance is available to all who need it.
