The Minister of Home Affairs, Patrobas Katambi, on Tuesday held discussions with representatives of Brazil-based Condor Company, focusing on strengthening cooperation in crime prevention and control through the exchange of experience between Tanzania and Brazil.
The talks explored various approaches to crime control, including modern technologies and strategies used to enhance public safety and law enforcement effectiveness.
Both sides shared experiences and discussed areas of potential collaboration aimed at supporting Tanzania’s efforts to improve internal security.
Speaking during the meeting, Mr Katambi underscored the importance of international partnerships in addressing emerging security challenges, noting that learning from countries with advanced crime control systems can help Tanzania strengthen its institutional capacity.
The meeting brought together Condor’s International Sales Manager, Mr Renani Annize, and Head of International Sales, Mr Kareem Seklawi.
Also in attendance was the Director of Investment Facilitation at the Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA), Mr James Maziku.
The discussions were held at the TISEZA headquarters in Dar es Salaam, reflecting the government’s broader efforts to link security cooperation with investment facilitation and technology transfer, as Tanzania continues to modernise its crime prevention and control mechanisms.
