Simba SC head coach Steve Barker has called on his players to give their all in tomorrow’s crucial CAF Champions League clash against Tunisia’s Esperance de Tunis, stressing that only a win can keep their quarterfinal hopes alive.

Speaking on January 23, 2026, Barker admitted that the match would be challenging for both sides due to their current positions in the group standings, which adds extra pressure to deliver positive results.

“This is an extremely important match for us. We know it will be tough, but we have prepared well, and our objective is clear – to win and stay in contention for the next round,” Barker said.

Simba midfielder Rushine De Reuck echoed his coach’s sentiments, saying the squad remains confident despite the obstacles.

“We understand the difficulty of this game and respect our opponents, but our aim is to win. We need positive results, and we are ready to fight for them,” De Reuck said.

Simba will enter the match needing a victory to improve their standing in the group and boost their chances of qualifying for the CAF Champions League quarterfinals.

Fans will be hoping the team can deliver under pressure and secure a crucial triumph away from home.
