The Attorney General, Hamza S. Johari, participated in a high-level stakeholders’ meeting of the Judiciary held in Dodoma, aimed at strengthening service delivery and enhancing the performance of Tanzania’s legal sector.
The meeting was chaired by the Chief Justice of Tanzania, Hon. George Masaju, and brought together key actors from across the Judiciary and the legal profession to deliberate on strategies for improving efficiency, transparency, and access to justice.
Hon. Johari emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and the Judiciary in ensuring timely and fair delivery of legal services, noting that continuous dialogue with stakeholders is critical for reforms in the sector.
Chief Justice Masaju highlighted ongoing initiatives to modernize court processes and strengthen the legal framework, underscoring the need for collective efforts to ensure that the justice system meets the expectations of Tanzanians.
The session also provided a platform for stakeholders to share experiences, identify challenges, and propose solutions for better governance and service provision within the Judiciary.
