Watumishi Housing Investment (WHI) officials visited Ilemela Municipal Council yesterday, December 17, 2025, to assess key areas earmarked for investment, including modern apartments, hotels, and large commercial projects designed to improve services for local residents.

Mr. Paskali Massawe, WHI Director of Finance and Investments, said the visit aimed to explore collaboration opportunities with the council to develop these sites.

He emphasized that such partnerships would not only enhance service delivery but also create sustainable revenue streams for the municipality.

Mr. Kefa Dan Gembe, Head of Industry, Trade, and Investment at Ilemela Municipal Council, welcomed the visit, noting that it would help the council maximize investment potential.

He expressed confidence that revenue generated from these ventures would directly support better services for Ilemela residents.

Established in 2014 under the Companies Act (Cap 212), WHI operates under the President’s Office – Public Service Management.

The institution implements housing programs for public servants and social security fund members while managing joint investments to foster economic growth and improve service delivery.
