The Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania in Sweden has announced a fully funded scholarship opportunity for Tanzanian students to pursue Master’s degree programs in Sweden through the prestigious Swedish Institute (SI).
The scholarships cover tuition, a monthly living stipend, and travel expenses, and are available for more than 400 programs across diverse fields, including public administration, public health, entrepreneurship, innovation, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Eligible applicants must be Tanzanian citizens who have applied, or plan to apply, for a Master’s program that qualifies for SI funding.
Applicants should be prepared to pay the application fee through the Swedish university admissions system and demonstrate verifiable work experience.
Leadership experience, either in the workplace or through participation in civil society organizations, is also highly valued.
The application process begins with securing admission to a Swedish university. Interested students can apply through the official University Admissions Sweden portal, with the deadline set for January 15, 2026.
After receiving admission, applicants can submit their scholarship applications through the Swedish Institute’s official website, which will open on February 26, 2026.
The Embassy emphasized that this opportunity is part of efforts to support Tanzanian students in accessing international education, enhancing their professional skills and leadership capacities, and contributing to national development.
