Tanzania has reaffirmed its commitment to deepening collaboration with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to boost social services and community development across the country.
Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Dr. Natu El-Maamry Mwamba, held a meeting with UNICEF’s Deputy Representative in charge of Programs, Ms. Patricia Safi Lombo, at Treasury Square in Dodoma, where they discussed ways to strengthen the partnership between the Government and the agency.
Dr. Mwamba highlighted the Government’s dedication to working with UNICEF on projects aimed at improving the welfare of communities and fostering economic growth.
Ms. Lombo praised Tanzania for its significant progress in managing social sectors and promised to enhance cooperation in implementing impactful programs for children.
Both sides concluded the discussions by expressing their determination to advance innovative initiatives that support the well-being of children, youth, and the wider community, aligning with the country’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
