“Preparations have gone very well and the players are in high spirits. We understand the importance of this derby, and we are going into the match aiming to win and secure positive results,” Lema said.

Speaking on behalf of the players, Irene Kisisa said the Yanga Princess squad feels relaxed and confident after receiving full technical and mental support from the coaching bench.

“We are not under pressure because our coach has provided everything we need. We trust the process and believe we will get good results,” said Kisisa.

Simba Queens head coach Mussa Hassan Mgosi said his side has prepared thoroughly, acknowledging the quality of their opponents while underlining their ambition to walk away with all three points.

“Yanga Princess is a strong team, so we must be cautious. For us, every match is like a final, and we have prepared ourselves fully for this challenge,” Mgosi said.

Simba Queens captain Vivian Corazone described the derby as a true test of character, insisting that her teammates are ready to fight for the club’s honour.

“A derby is always tough. Both teams are technically well prepared, and every player will fight to get a positive result. As Simba Queens, we are ready to defend the pride of our team,” Vivian said.
