More than 85% of preparations for the Magamba Forest Walkathon and Adventure Season III have been completed, with organizers reporting that everything is progressing smoothly towards the event.
The festival is scheduled to take place from December 17 to 20 in Lushoto Municipal Council, Tanga Region.
Chief Conservator of the Magamba Indigenous Forest, Christoganus Vyokuta, stated that from December 17 to 19, various stakeholders in conservation and tourism will have the opportunity to showcase their services and products in Lushoto town.
Vyokuta mentioned that the climax of the event will occur on December 20, when participants will take part in special walks within the Magamba Forest Reserve as part of efforts to promote domestic tourism and environmental conservation.
He explained that the main goal of the Magamba Forest Walkathon and Adventure Season III is to support government initiatives in environmental protection and to promote ecological tourism, particularly by encouraging Tanzanians to visit the country’s natural attractions.
The Conservator urged the public and tourism stakeholders to actively participate in the event, emphasizing that their involvement is crucial in safeguarding natural resources and ensuring sustainable conservation for the benefit of present and future generations.
