The Tanzania Police Force has reiterated that calls for a so-called “peaceful protest” issued on December 5, 2025, are illegal.
Authorities say the planned gathering does not meet legal requirements and involves criminal intentions.
The Police urge the public to ignore incitement, misinformation, and campaigns designed to disturb peace and national security.
In collaboration with other security agencies, the Police assure law-abiding citizens, peace-loving Tanzanians, and those committed to resolving issues through dialogue, reconciliation, and national unity that they remain ready at all times to protect public safety and maintain order.
