The Tanzania Police Force has reaffirmed that the country remains secure, assuring citizens that law enforcement agencies are maintaining heightened vigilance following an early-morning security update issued on Tuesday.
In a public notice released from Police Headquarters in Dodoma on December 9, 2025, the Police Spokesperson said the general security situation across the country is stable, with officers deployed from dawn to dusk to ensure the safety of people and their property.
The spokesperson noted that all security and defense organs are working in close coordination to strengthen surveillance and maintain calm in both urban and rural areas.
He added that from Tuesday evening onwards, patrols would be intensified as part of broader prevention efforts aimed at discouraging any activities that may threaten public order.
“Our teams nationwide are alert and fully prepared to respond swiftly to ensure that peace continues to prevail,” the spokesperson emphasized, underscoring the Force’s commitment to protecting citizens.
The Police also appealed to members of the public to continue respecting the law and adhering to official safety guidance.
According to the notice, cooperation between citizens and security organs remains a crucial ingredient in sustaining national peace and preventing incidents that could endanger communities.
