Member of Parliament for Makunduchi Constituency, Wanu Hafidh Ameir, has delivered key water infrastructure facilities and sports equipment to residents of Mtende, Muyuni A and Kajengwa shehias, in a move aimed at improving access to clean water and promoting youth development in the area.
During his constituency tour on December 28, 2025, Ameir handed over seven water storage tanks to help address persistent water shortages facing households in the constituency.
The tanks are expected to enhance water storage capacity and reduce the daily burden on residents, especially during periods of limited supply.
As part of the same initiative, the MP also distributed 18 water transmission pipes and water pumping machines, strengthening community water systems and supporting efforts to ensure a more reliable and sustainable water supply.
The interventions form part of the commitments he made to voters during the October 29, 2025 General Election campaigns.
In addition to water-related support, Ameir provided sports equipment, including football jerseys and balls, to local teams to support their participation in various league competitions within the constituency.
The gesture underscores his commitment to empowering youth through sports and encouraging positive social engagement.
Speaking during the handover, Ameir reiterated that fulfilling campaign promises and responding to community priorities remain central to his leadership, noting that access to clean water and youth empowerment are critical pillars of local development.
The MP has continued to hold a series of village-to-village meetings across Makunduchi Constituency, engaging directly with residents to hear their concerns and discuss development priorities.
So far, he has visited Mtende, Muyuni A and Kajengwa, with more community engagements planned as part of his ongoing constituency outreach.
