Simba SC Assistant Coach Selemani Matola has cautioned that the team still has major areas to improve, despite securing a comfortable 3–0 victory over Mbeya City.
Speaking after the match, Matola said the team would immediately resume training to address mistakes noted during the encounter, stressing the need to sharpen their finishing.
He explained that the inability to convert scoring chances has been a persistent challenge, and the technical team is working to ensure it is fixed as soon as possible.
“This win boosts our confidence heading into our next match, the Mzizima Derby against Azam on Sunday. But it will not be an easy game,” Matola said.
Meanwhile, Mbeya City Head Coach Patrick Mwangata said the red card issued to one of his players disrupted their strategy and forced a sudden tactical adjustment.
He noted that the team would return home to regroup and prepare for upcoming fixtures to secure positive results.
“We will have a short break, and we intend to use it to strengthen the squad and prepare thoroughly so that we can meet our objectives,” Mwangata said.
