The Director General of the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA), Dr. James Mwainyekule, has urged staff to perform their duties with utmost professionalism and integrity to ensure efficient and reliable services for Tanzanians.

Speaking at a staff council meeting in Singida today, Dr. Mwainyekule emphasized the importance of teamwork and a positive work culture.

“Let us work together, deliver services professionally, and uphold integrity at all times. We must remember that we are one team. Gossip and complaints at the workplace only create misunderstandings and affect our performance,” he said.

He added that all employees have a duty to execute their responsibilities transparently, efficiently, and productively to guarantee the quality and sustainability of electricity, fuel, natural gas, water, and environmental sanitation services.

“The staff council is a source of new ideas. We must adapt our ways of working to meet the demands of today. We cannot continue working the same way we did in the past,” Dr. Mwainyekule noted.

The Deputy Secretary General of the National Trade Union of Tanzania (TUGHE), Mr. Amani Msuya, commended EWURA for the excellent organization of the meeting and for prioritizing staff participation.
