Bukombe Member of Parliament, Dr. Doto Biteko, today rolled up his sleeves alongside residents of Butinzya Ward to pour concrete for the construction of a new health dispensary, praising their active involvement in advancing local development.
Accompanied by district government leaders, party officials, and the ward councilor, Dr. Biteko highlighted that the Sixth Phase Government highly values citizen collaboration in driving progress.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Biteko commended the residents for showing patriotism through action, taking part directly in the construction instead of waiting solely for government support.
“Development cannot be delivered by the government alone without the cooperation of the citizens. You have set an outstanding example, and I am committed to standing with you at every step to ensure Bukombe achieves rapid and meaningful progress,” Dr. Biteko said.
He also expressed gratitude to President Samia Suluhu Hassan for her continued attention to Bukombe, particularly in allocating funds for development projects.
“Her Excellency the President is sincerely committed to improving the lives of citizens. Every time we request project funding, she responds promptly and ensures resources are allocated on time,” he added.
The exercise forms part of government efforts to improve access to healthcare services close to communities and address challenges in delivering essential services, especially in rural areas.
