Kinondoni District Commissioner, Saad Ahmed Mtambule, has called on parents, guardians, and the wider community to raise children on the principles of love, peace, diligence, and national contribution, stressing that such values are key to building a harmonious and prosperous society.

Speaking during a religious conference in Dar es Salaam on Saturday, DC Mtambule highlighted the role of families in nurturing the next generation.

“We must ask ourselves: how often do we, as believers, sit with our children and discuss matters that affect them, their families, and the nation? How often do we study our religious texts together and reflect on the teachings of our Prophet? By doing this, we foster love, peace, and hard work, which in turn reduces corruption and crime,” he said.

DC Mtambule also emphasized that families should take time to read, reflect, and discuss ways to strengthen social cohesion and contribute positively to national development.

He noted that consistent guidance and engagement at home can help prevent social and political challenges that continue to affect communities across the country.

“By grounding our youth in strong values, we not only build responsible citizens but also a peaceful, united, and thriving Tanzania,” he added.
