Yanga SC is preparing to launch its new jerseys ahead of its opening Group Stage match against Morocco’s AS FAR, with the unveiling scheduled for tomorrow in Dar es Salaam.
The highly anticipated match will take place on November 22 at the New Amaan Complex Stadium in Zanzibar, marking Yanga’s official kick-off in the international tournament.
The club aims to enter the stage with style and confidence as it competes against top teams from across Africa.
Yanga’s Media and Communications Officer, Ally Kamwe, said the jersey launch is designed to give fans an early opportunity to purchase the new kits and witness the team in full flair on match day.
“We want to bring joy and excitement to our supporters. God willing, this Wednesday, we will unveil our new jerseys, which will be special for our first international match of the season,” Kamwe said.
He emphasized that preparations for the match are progressing smoothly, including ensuring that the new jerseys are widely available for fans.
Kamwe added that the launch is also intended to inspire Tanzanians to come out and support their team.
“Our opponents from Morocco are strong, but we have started thorough preparations to ensure we perform at our best. Our goal is to deliver the excitement and quality our fans expect,” he explained.
Kamwe further highlighted that Yanga SC has ongoing initiatives aimed at supporting the growth of football in Tanzania through social and technical programs.
In the CAF Champions League Group B, Yanga will face Al Ahly (Egypt), AS FAR (Morocco), and JS Kabylie (Algeria), promising a competitive and thrilling campaign for the club and its supporters.
