The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has officially parted ways with Taifa Stars head coach Hemed Suleiman, popularly known as Morocco, following a mutual agreement between the federation and the coach.
In a statement released, TFF Communications and Media Officer Clifford Mario Ndimbo confirmed that both parties agreed to terminate the contract amicably.
Following the departure of Morocco, TFF has appointed Singida Black Stars head coach, Miguel Gamondi, as the interim head coach of the national team.
“The discussions were conducted between TFF and Singida Black Stars to facilitate Coach Gamondi’s assumption of these new responsibilities,” the statement said.
Coach Gamondi will now lead Taifa Stars at the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals scheduled for December this year in Morocco.
In response, Singida Black Stars lauded their coach’s national appointment, describing it as a prestigious recognition for both the coach and the club.
“This appointment reflects the professionalism, quality, and achievements that Coach Gamondi has demonstrated since joining Singida Black Stars,” the club’s statement read.
Singida Black Stars further pledged full cooperation with TFF, expressing confidence that Gamondi will deliver positive results for Taifa Stars while maintaining his competitive football philosophy.
