Tanzanians are optimistic about the leadership of Dr. Mwigulu Lameck Nchemba following his nomination as the country’s new Prime Minister, according to Member of Parliament for Same East, Anne Kilango Malecela.

Speaking in Parliament on November 13, 2025, as President Samia Suluhu Hassan presented Dr. Mwigulu’s name for parliamentary approval, Malecela highlighted his accessibility and dedication to public service.

“Unlike some leaders who are difficult to approach, Dr. Mwigulu has consistently been available to the people, from his roles as Deputy Minister to Minister of Finance. He listens, he engages, and he cares,” she said.

Hon. Malecela added that Dr. Mwigulu’s compassionate leadership and pragmatic approach give both Parliament members and citizens confidence that their interests will be effectively represented.

Dr. Mwigulu, MP for Iramba West in Singida Region, is set to be sworn in tomorrow, Friday, at Chamwino State House in Dodoma, officially beginning his five-year tenure in President Samia’s government.

His appointment is seen as a step toward strengthening governance and fostering public trust in leadership.
