The Tanzania Meteorological Authority (TMA) has issued a weather update for the next 24 hours starting 9:00 p.m. on November 25, 2025, warning citizens to prepare for partly cloudy skies and occasional rain showers across the country.
In the northwestern regions of Kagera, Kigoma, and Geita, residents should be ready for short thundershowers amid sunny periods, which may affect travel and outdoor activities.
Similar conditions are expected in Tanga and Mtwara, as well as on the Unguja and Pemba Isles, where sporadic rainfall could disrupt beach visits or local farming routines.
Coastal areas, including Dar es Salaam, Pwani, and the Mafia Isles, will see light rains in some neighborhoods, though sunny breaks will provide opportunities for business, commuting, and outdoor tasks.
Central and southern regions, such as Dodoma, Morogoro, Singida, Ruvuma, and Lindi, can expect partly cloudy skies, offering good conditions for work, school, and farming activities while remaining cautious of brief showers.
Inland regions including Rukwa, Iringa, Njombe, Songwe, Mbeya, Katavi, Tabora, Shinyanga, Mwanza, Simiyu, and Mara are forecasted to have partly cloudy skies with sunny intervals, giving residents a chance to plan their day around favorable weather.
Temperatures will range from 11°C in Njombe at night to 33°C in Dodoma and Dar es Salaam during the day.
Coastal winds will remain gentle at around 20 km/h, coming from the southeast in the north and the east along the southern coast, while seas will remain calm.
The TMA urges residents, commuters, and travelers to stay updated on weather developments, carry umbrellas where necessary, and plan activities to avoid disruptions caused by sudden showers.
