Taifa Stars name 23-man squad ahead of Kuwait Friendly in Cairo

The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has announced a 23-man Taifa Stars squad that will face Kuwait in an international FIFA calendar friendly match scheduled for October 14 at the Al Salam Stadium in Cairo, Egypt.

In a statement issued today, November 6, 2025, TFF confirmed that the team will report to camp on November 10 to begin preparations for the encounter, which forms part of the national team’s programme to strengthen competitiveness and improve FIFA rankings ahead of upcoming tournaments.

The squad features a strong blend of home-based players and those plying their trade abroad.

Simba SC contributes Yacoub Suleiman, Wilson Nangu, Morice Abraham, Shomari Kapombe and Suleiman Mwalimu, while Azam FC is represented by Zuberi Foba, Pascal Msindo, Feisal Salum and Abdul Suleiman.

Young Africans (Yanga SC) stars named include Dickson Job, Mudathir Yahya, Bakari Mwamnyeto, Mohamed Hussein and Ibrahim Abdallah. 

Also making the list are Singida Black Stars duo Hussein Masalanga and Habibu Iddi, along with JKT Tanzania forward Paul Peter.

The foreign-based call-ups include Novatus Dismas (Coztepe FC, Turkey), Haji Mnoga (Salford City, England), Tarryn Allarakhia (Rochdale AFC, England), Charles M’mombwa (Florian FC, Malta), Kelvin John (Aaborg BK, Denmark) and Alphonce Mabula (Shamakhi FK, Azerbaijan).

The match is expected to offer valuable assessment opportunities as the coaching staff continue to shape a competitive squad capable of performing consistently on the international stage.
