Residents in various parts of Dar es Salaam and the Coast Region have expressed satisfaction with the current state of water supply in their areas, noting that services have continued to improve and remain safe for daily use.
The reliable water availability follows ongoing efforts by the Dar es Salaam Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (DAWASA) to ensure consistent delivery of clean water to communities within its service zones across both regions.
Residents commended DAWASA for maintaining steady distribution and responding promptly to public concerns regarding water quality and safety.
Mr. Ibrahim Isanja, a resident of Kilungule in Kimara, said the DAWASA supply remains essential for households in the area, where there are limited alternative sources of safe water.
“A few days ago, there were concerns raised about the safety of the water, which caused some anxiety among the public. However, we have continued using the same water without any health complications,” he said, adding that DAWASA’s immediate communication helped reassure the community.
Similarly, Ms. Zainabu Issa from Mbezi called on residents to seek verified information from authorities whenever uncertainty arises.
“These DAWASA water services are safe, and we use the water daily. I encourage fellow residents to remain calm and wait for accurate updates from responsible institutions whenever issues arise,” she said.
In Bagamoyo’s Zinga area in Coast Region, Mr. Andrew Frank said the water supply has remained stable, consistent, and reliable for both domestic and business use.
“We do not face any challenges here. Water flows regularly, and neither I nor my neighbors have experienced any problems from using it,” he said.
DAWASA has in recent months intensified investments in water infrastructure and monitoring systems to reduce interruptions and ensure water distributed meets national safety standards.
The authority has also emphasized that ongoing public feedback plays a crucial role in service improvement across its operational areas.
