Singida Black Stars have kicked off a training camp in Dar es Salaam as they prepare for their CAF Confederation Cup group stage match against Algeria’s CR Belouizdad, set for November 22 in Algeria.
The club’s Head of Communication and Information, Hussein Massanza, said the team will spend a week in Dar es Salaam before flying to Algeria on November 19.
“The camp is part of our strategy to ensure the team enters the match fully prepared and focused on achieving a positive result away from home,” Massanza said.
He added that Singida Black Stars’ last Premier League match ended in a 1–1 draw against Pamba Jiji. “After a short break, the players officially joined camp yesterday to begin preparations for the international competition,” he noted.
Massanza also confirmed that Head Coach Miguel Gamondi is currently away but has left a detailed training program, which is being implemented by his assistants.
The coach continues to receive regular updates on players’ progress and will rejoin the team ahead of their departure.
“Fans should remain confident. Coach Gamondi has provided clear guidance for training, and he will be back with the squad before they travel to Algeria,” Massanza said.
Regarding player fitness, Massanza reported that injured players, including Khalid Aucho and Saidi Pemba, are progressing well in training and are expected to return to full match fitness to contribute to the team.
Singida Black Stars are making a historic appearance in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage, representing Tanzania at the continental level and aiming to make a strong impression.
