Simba Sports Club is stepping up its campaign to energize fans ahead of a key CAF Champions League match, holding a rally today, November 19, 2025, with club members and supporters in Goba, Dar es Salaam.
Speaking at the event, Simba’s Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ally, said the club’s leadership is determined to keep fans informed and motivated as they prepare for Sunday’s high-stakes encounter against Angola’s Petro Atlético de Luanda at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
“We are here in Goba to engage with our fans ahead of this historic Sunday match. It will be a challenging game, and we need everyone at the stadium to secure three points and start the campaign strongly,” Ahmed said.
He warned fans not to underestimate the Angolan side, describing them as a highly competitive team.
“This is not going to be an easy match. To win, we need full support from every fan. No one can achieve victory alone—this is a collective effort,” he added.
Ahmed also stressed the importance of a strong turnout to help Simba kick off their CAF Champions League group-stage campaign on a positive note.
“Leaders are doing their part, now it’s the fans’ turn. Your responsibility is to buy tickets and show up. Whether you are a grandfather, grandmother, young man, or young woman, everyone is needed at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium,” he said.
To further boost participation, Ahmed encouraged fans who can afford tickets to support those who cannot, and advised organizing travel through local branches to simplify logistics.
“We have every reason to celebrate. Coming to the stadium through your local branch is the easiest way tickets are sold together, transport is arranged, and there will be no long queues on Sunday. We are counting on our fans,” he explained.
He concluded by urging fans to attend without excuses.
“On November 23, we want the stadium full. We love this team, we have always supported it, and this journey must be fully backed. There is no doubt we will advance from the group stage. We have triumphed before as underdogs; now, as champions, we will go even further,” Ahmed emphasized.
