The Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr Ashatu Kijaji (MP), has pledged to strengthen and expand collaboration between her Ministry and the Morogoro Region to enhance conservation efforts and increase the value of natural and tourism resources in the area.
She made the commitment today, 24 November 2025, upon arriving in Morogoro for official engagements, where she held discussions with the Regional Commissioner, Adam Malima.
The meeting marked the start of her working tour to various institutions under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism.
Dr Kijaji also underscored the Ministry’s commitment to swiftly addressing challenges facing local communities, including the timely payment of consolation and disturbance fees to those affected by human–wildlife conflicts, acknowledging the dignity and welfare of the citizens.
The Minister is accompanied on the tour by the Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Hamad Hassan Chande (MP).
