The appointment of Dr. Mwigulu Lameck Nchemba as Tanzania’s Prime Minister promises strengthened leadership and efficient government service for citizens, says William Lukuvi, Member of Parliament for Isimani, Iringa Region.
Lukuvi praised President Samia Suluhu Hassan for making “the right choice,” highlighting Dr. Mwigulu’s proven experience, professionalism, and dedication to public service.
He emphasized that Dr. Mwigulu’s background at the Bank of Tanzania and his long-standing service within Chama Cha Mapinduzi equip him to understand both national priorities and citizens’ everyday challenges.
“Dr. Mwigulu knows how to translate experience into action that benefits ordinary Tanzanians,” Lukuvi said.
“His leadership will ensure better planning, stronger institutions, and policies that reach people across the country.”he added
Dr. Mwigulu’s track record in CCM includes serving on the National Executive Committee, Central Committee, party secretariat, and as Deputy Parmanent Secretary from 2012 to 2015, demonstrating his commitment to public service and national development.
On Thursday, Tanzania’s 13th Parliament confirmed him as Prime Minister with 369 votes in favor out of 371 cast. He is set to be sworn in on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Chamwino State House in Dodoma.
