Tanzanians have been called upon to remain peaceful, united, and focused on exercising their democratic right to vote during the upcoming General Election on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.
Citizens are being encouraged to ignore and reject misleading calls from individuals and politicians who are promoting unrest or demonstrations aimed at disrupting the electoral process.
Speaking to the media, citizens including Shaban Maulid and Adrian Malikale emphasized the importance of safeguarding the nation’s peace and stability.
They reminded fellow Tanzanians that violence and chaos bring nothing but suffering especially for children, women, and the elderly and urged everyone to act responsibly on election day.
“It is crucial that we do not allow ourselves to be influenced or deceived into joining protests of any kind on October 29, 2025,” said Ms. Zuhura Mohamed, a food vendor.
“We should go out, cast our votes peacefully, and return home to continue with our daily work. That is how we build our nation.”he added
The Government of Tanzania, under the leadership of President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has reassured all citizens of safety, order, and tranquility throughout the election period.
Authorities have pledged to ensure that every eligible voter can participate freely and confidently, without fear, intimidation, or disturbance.
This election is an opportunity for Tanzanians to demonstrate maturity, patriotism, and respect for democracy.
Peaceful participation not only strengthens the nation’s democratic foundation but also reflects the unity and wisdom of its people.
