Tanzania is stepping up efforts to showcase its world-class wildlife and cultural attractions on the global stage.

Makuyuni Wildlife Park, located about 70 kilometers from Arusha City, welcomed Miss World China 2021, Ms. Jiang Sigi, accompanied by winners of the Miss Travel Awards from Hong Kong, China, Kenya, and Tanzania.

The one-day visit, organized by Miss Travel World Beauty Pageant (T/A Skyvfree International) under Goshen Safaris, aimed to provide influential international visitors an immersive experience of Makuyuni’s rich wildlife, scenic landscapes, and Maasai cultural heritage.

Through their social media platforms and international networks, the guests are expected to position Makuyuni as a top-tier global tourism destination.

Speaking after the visit, Samweli Mulugu, coordinating director of Miss Travel World – Tanzania, said such initiatives are key to promoting Tanzanian tourism internationally.

“High-profile visitors help put Tanzania on the map, attracting both global attention and potential investors to our tourism sector,” he said.

Mulugu also commended the Tanzania Wildlife Management Authority (TAWA) for its role in preserving natural heritage, protecting wildlife, and promoting sustainable tourism.

Segoline Tarimo, Assistant Commissioner for Conservation overseeing tourism in the Northern Zone, highlighted the importance of private-public partnerships in advancing Tanzania’s tourism brand.

She praised Goshen Safaris for supporting the government’s efforts through films like Tanzania: The Royal Tour and Amazing Tanzania, which showcase the country’s tourism potential to a global audience.

During the visit, the guests observed elephants, giraffes, zebras, impalas, oryxes, and other wildlife, while enjoying traditional Maasai dance performances.

Captivated by the park’s beauty and attractions, they expressed interest in returning for hiking adventures and continuing to promote Tanzania’s tourism worldwide.

The visit illustrates Tanzania’s growing strategy of leveraging global influencers and international visitors to enhance its wildlife and cultural tourism, positioning the country as a must-visit destination for travelers across the world.
