Tanzania women’s national football team head coach, Bakari Shime, has unveiled a 26-player squad that will gather for camp on October 13 in Dar es Salaam.
Twiga Stars are preparing to face Ethiopia as they gear up for the WAFCON qualifiers later this year.
The squad features a mix of domestic talents and players competing abroad. Key domestic players include Najat Abbas, Asha Mrisho, Lidya Maximilian, Donisia Minja, Ester Maseke, Fumukazi Ally, Elizabeth Chenge, Stumai Abdallah, Christer Bahera, Jamila Rajabu, Winfrida Gerald, and Janeth Pangamwene from JKT Queens.
Other local talents are Maimuna Kaimu (Yanga Princess), Fatuma Issa, Aisha Mnunka, and Asha Ramadhan (Simba Queens), while Nusrat Jaffar represents Alliance Girls.
International-based players include Kuleta Singano (Juarez, Mexico), Noela Luhala (Asa Tel Aviv, Israel), Diana Lucas (Trabzon Spor, Turkey), Clara Luvanga (Al Nasr, Saudi Arabia), Opa Clement (Eibar, Spain), and Hasnath Ubamba (Al Masry, Egypt).
Twiga Stars aim to use this camp to build a competitive edge ahead of the crucial WAFCON qualifier.
