Seven Tanzanian boxers shine with silver and bronze at African Championships in Kenya

Seven Tanzanian boxers have brought pride to the nation after winning silver and bronze medals at the ongoing African Boxing Championships taking place at the Kasarani Indoor Arena in Nairobi, Kenya.

The first phase of the tournament has concluded, with the Tanzanian national boxing team displaying remarkable determination and skill against some of Africa’s top competitors. 

Among them, Zulfa Macho, Salma Yahya, and Veronica Ebron each secured silver medals following intense bouts that earned them admiration from fans and judges alike.

Meanwhile, Veronica Patric, Salma Changarawe, Aisha Iddy, and Vumilia Twalib fought their way to the podium with bronze medals, underscoring Tanzania’s growing presence in continental boxing.

Officials from the Tanzanian Boxing Federation have praised the athletes for their performance, saying the results reflect the country’s investment in nurturing boxing talent and reviving the sport’s competitive spirit.

The African Boxing Championships continue in Nairobi, and Tanzania’s contingent remains hopeful for more success as the competition progresses into its final stages.
