Former professional boxer Selemani Kidunda has taken a significant step toward shaping the future of Tanzanian boxing by becoming a certified international boxing coach.

Kidunda now holds a one-star international coaching rank under the International Boxing Association (IBA), equipping him with the skills to train athletes not only in Tanzania but also globally.

His certification opens doors for young boxers across the country to benefit from world-class training and mentorship.

The 10-day online course, conducted from July 28 to August 6, covered advanced coaching methods and strategies to develop competitive boxers at all levels.

Kidunda received his official certificate during a handover ceremony coordinated by the Tanzania Boxing Federation (BFT) and the National Sports Council.
