Monti International School is setting a new standard for modern education in Tanzania, showcasing how private investment can complement government efforts to prepare students for a competitive global economy.
The Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Albert Chalamila, commended the school’s innovative approach and assured that the government will continue fostering an enabling environment for investors in the education sector.
Chalamila’s message was delivered over the weekend by Kinondoni Municipal Secondary Education Officer, Mtundi Nyamhanga, during the launch of the Monti International School Transformation Program, which follows the internationally recognized Cambridge Curriculum.
Nyamhanga highlighted the crucial role of private schools in expanding access to quality education and equipping students with skills that meet 21st-century demands.

“The school’s transformation is not just about physical expansion,” Nyamhanga said. “It reflects a vision realized through leadership, commitment, and belief in the transformative power of education. Fatma Fernandes’ story is a reminder that great achievements often start with small steps.”

With over 150 students currently enrolled, the school’s development strategy focuses on three pillars: Cambridge-based learning, sports excellence, and fostering creativity and innovation.
