Nicolene’s journey was not a matter of luck Three years ago her parents discovered her unique talent in a small training pool Since then she has been nurtured by German swimming coaches Fiete and Frieda Klenz founders of Riptide Swim Club Tanzania

In a short span Nicolene has shattered six national records an exceptional feat for someone her age These include 200m Butterfly Short and Long Course 100m and 200m Breaststroke and 400m Individual Medley Long Course

In every national competition she has entered Nicolene has consistently finished among the top three showing unwavering progress year after year Her World Aquatics points rose from 262 in 2023 to a peak of 548 in 2025 more than doubling in two years Similarly her Rudolf Points increased from 8 to 15 in the same period demonstrating her growing international caliber

To reach this level Nicolene trains approximately 25–30 kilometers weekly and up to 50–60 kilometers when at training camps The routine is grueling yet for Nicolene it is a natural part of her daily life
