JKT Queens will begin a crucial training camp tomorrow as they gear up for the African Women’s Champions League, scheduled for early November in Algeria.
The team earned their spot in the continental tournament after winning the CECAFA Championship, securing their position as the region’s representative.
Speaking to The Respondents Online today, October 3, 2025, JKT Tanzania/JKT Queens spokesperson Masau Bwire said the team will start an internal camp tomorrow, running until October 12, before heading to an overseas camp. The host country for the international preparations will be announced later.
“Tomorrow marks the start of our official preparations. The domestic camp will continue until October 12, after which we will travel abroad to a country with conditions similar to those in Algeria, where the tournament will take place,” Bwire explained.
He emphasized that the team is fully focused on competing for the championship, aiming to bring pride to Tanzania and the CECAFA region.
“Our goal is to win, and achieving that requires thorough preparation. We are committed to ensuring our team is ready to compete at the highest level,” he said.
Bwire also called on Tanzanians to rally behind JKT Queens, the only team with a historic presence in CECAFA and African women’s football, and continue supporting them as they pursue continental glory.
