Yanga goalkeeper Diarra has been named Player of the Month, while JKT Tanzania coach Ahmad Ally earned the Best Coach award for September in the NBC Tanzania Mainland Premier League.
According to the Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB), Diarra impressed with his consistent performances, edging out Antony Tra Bi of Singida Black Stars and Mohamed Bakari of JKT Tanzania, who were also shortlisted for the award.
“Diarra played a key role in two matches, helping Yanga secure a 3-0 win over Pamba and a clean-sheet draw against Mbeya City, ensuring the team did not concede a single goal,” the TPLB statement said.
Coach Ahmad Ally also stood out for his leadership, reaching the finals alongside Romain Folz of Yanga and Miguel Gamondi of Singida Black Stars.
Under his guidance, JKT Tanzania delivered strong results, drawing 1-1 against Mashujaa at Lake Tanganyika Stadium in Kigoma and defeating Coastal Union 2-1 at Mkwakwani Stadium in Tanga.
Both awards highlight the impact of individual excellence in shaping team success in the league.
