CRDB BANK signs over TZS 300 billion deals with three international financial institutions

CRDB Bank has sealed a strategic partnership with three major international financial institutions, valued at over TZS 300 billion, to boost financial inclusion and sustainable development across Africa.

 The historic signing was witnessed by Dr. Natu El-Maamry Mwamba,Parmanent Secretary of Tanzania’s Ministry of Finance.

The agreements bring together CRDB Bank, FinDev Canada, DEG (KfW Group, Germany), and Shelter Afrique Development Bank (ShafDB), marking a key milestone in the bank’s mission to expand access to finance and drive economic growth across the continent.

The Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed during the “Investors and Partners Forum,” held alongside the World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings in Washington D.C. 

The forum, organized by CRDB Bank, brought together international investors and senior government leaders from Tanzania, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The event saw participation from prominent leaders including the Finance Minister of Burundi, the Minister of Information from DRC, Governors of the Central Banks of Tanzania and Burundi, Tanzanian and Burundian Ambassadors to the United States, and Dr. Natu Mwamba, who led the Tanzanian delegation and served as the forum’s Guest of Honor.

The agreements were signed by CRDB Bank CEO Abdulmajid Nsekela, alongside the CEOs of the partner institutions: Thierno Habib Hann (Shelter Afrique Development Bank), Roland Siller (DEG), and Lori Kerr (FinDev Canada).
