Dar es Salaam resident Adam Ahmad has won a brand-new TVS motorcycle valued at TZS4 million through a digital auction organized by PIKU.

He achieved this by placing small bets of just TZS1,000 repeatedly.

The motorcycle comes with a full-year insurance cover, and Adam will also receive 30 liters of fuel every month for a year.

Speaking after receiving his prize, Adam said he joined PIKU auctions following a friend’s recommendation.

“I placed small, frequent bets. You buy a ticket and participate several times. In the end, I won a motorcycle. I am very happy because it will now help me in my motorcycle taxi business,” he said.

Adam, who has worked as a motorcycle taxi rider for years, said owning his own bike had always been his dream.

“I used to buy tickets for TZS1,000 and play many times. The total never even reached Sh50,000, but today I have won a motorcycle. I thank God,” he said.

He encouraged other young people to join PIKU, emphasizing that the platform is transparent and free from tricks.

Barnabas Mbunda, PIKU’s Communications Manager, said the company aims to support Tanzanians economically through fair and legal auctions.

“Today we have awarded a TVS motorcycle with a full-year insurance cover and monthly fuel supply. We also have a winner of an LG 55-inch television and a router with one-year internet subscription. Our goal is to make life easier for citizens by giving them opportunities to win prizes that can improve their economic situation,” Mbunda said.

Joram Mtafya, an inspector from the Tanzania Gaming Board, confirmed that PIKU operates legally and that every winner draw takes place under board supervision.

“Every draw includes a representative from our board to ensure all procedures are followed and winners are legitimate. We encourage other companies running games of chance to register and contribute to government revenue,” Mtafya said.

At the same event, another winner, Nasra Ally, who received an LG 55-inch television, expressed her excitement.

“My colleague started playing at work, and we began competing. I thought, if the first winner from Zanzibar could win, why couldn’t I? This game is real there are no tricks. I encourage others to play and try their luck,” she said.
