Defending champions Yanga were held to a 0-0 draw by Mbeya City in today’s Tanzanian Premier League (NBC) clash at Sokoine Stadium, leaving both sides with just one point each.

The match began at a high tempo, with both teams pressing aggressively and battling for possession. Despite several attempts, neither side could break the deadlock in the first half, and the teams went into halftime scoreless.

The second half offered more of the same as Yanga and Mbeya City struggled to create clear-cut chances.

Both sides looked determined to secure all three points, but goalkeepers and resolute defenses denied any breakthroughs.

When the referee blew the final whistle, the scoreboard remained unchanged at 0-0, reflecting a tightly contested encounter.

The draw leaves Yanga and Mbeya City sharing points, underscoring the competitiveness of this season’s Tanzanian Premier League and the challenges teams face in claiming victories on the road.
