The Tanzania Education Authority (TEA) has convened a two-day Workers’ Council meeting in Morogoro to review the implementation of activities for the 2024/2025 financial year and discuss the new work plan for 2025/2026.
The meeting, held from September 11 to 12, was chaired by TEA Director General and Council Chairperson, Dr. Erasmus Kipesha.
It brought together management and employees to assess progress across departments and to chart a clear course for the coming year.
Dr. Kipesha described the Workers’ Council as an important platform that enables staff to actively participate in planning, evaluating, and improving the institution’s performance.
“This meeting provides us with an opportunity to reflect on what we have achieved, to share ideas, and to plan together how best to strengthen our performance so that we can fulfil TEA’s mandate more effectively,” he said.
Presentations were made by senior officials, including Acting Director of Resource Mobilisation and Education Support Projects, Mr. Masozi Nyirenda; Director of Corporate Services, CPA Mwanahamis Chambega; Legal Services Manager, Ms. Christina Meela; and Chief Internal Auditor, CPA. Richard Mazinge.
They highlighted progress in their areas while also identifying challenges and opportunities for improvement.
Council members also received updates on project implementation, financial performance, institutional services, and internal audits.

Mwafatma Mohamed Acting Manager Education Support Projects
Acting Manager of Education Support Projects, Ms. Mwafatma Mohamed, responded to questions from members regarding ongoing initiatives and their impact on the education sector.
Council Secretary, Ms. Mwanaisha Komba, said the forum continues to strengthen dialogue between staff and management, ensuring that collective views inform institutional priorities and strategies.
The session closed with participants reaffirming their commitment to collaboration in advancing TEA’s mission and aligning its work with national education goals.
