The Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA) has continued to participate in specialized training aimed at strengthening the management of project contracts in order to reduce costs and delays in project implementation.

The five-day training has brought together key stakeholders in the road infrastructure and transport sector, with the main objective of sharing experiences, best practices, and expertise in a sector that is vital for the country’s social and economic development.

TARURA’s Director of Roads, Engineer Venant Komba, delivered a presentation on how the Agency carries out its responsibilities, the strategies it employs in project management, the technologies being applied in road construction, and the challenges encountered, particularly in relation to contracts.

Speaking during the session, Engineer Komba emphasized that one of TARURA’s priorities is to build the capacity of its professionals, particularly in contract management, to minimize challenges that may arise during project execution.

“We take advantage of opportunities such as these as a platform to continue learning from our colleagues,” he said.

The training has been organized by the Tanzania Roads Association (TARA) in collaboration with local and international consulting engineers.
