Tanzania Secures 1-1 draw against Congo Brazzaville in World Cup qualifier

Tanzania fought hard to earn a 1-1 draw against Congo Brazzaville in their World Cup qualifying match played today in Brazzaville, Congo.

The first half ended in a stalemate, with both teams struggling to find a breakthrough, leaving the score 0-0 at halftime.

In the second half, the home side came alive. In the 69th minute, Dechan Moussavou Lingard scored to give Congo Brazzaville the lead. 

Tanzania responded strongly, and in the 84th minute, Selemani Mwalimu scored a brilliant equalizer, securing a vital point for the Taifa Stars.

After 90 minutes of intense action, the match ended 1-1, with both teams sharing the points.

Tanzania now turns its focus to their next World Cup qualifier against Niger, scheduled for September 9 at the New Amaan Complex Stadium in Zanzibar. 

The team will be aiming for a full three points to strengthen their qualification campaign.
