More than 50 karate practitioners are set to take part in a two-day professional seminar at the Upanga Club in Dar es Salaam, starting tomorrow.

The event focuses on advancing technical skills and practical knowledge for athletes, coaches, referees, and judges.

Jerome Mhagama, Secretary-General of the Shotokan Karate Federation of Tanzania (TSKF), said the seminar targets brown belt holders from clubs and the national team.

Participants will receive guidance on updated competition rules, training techniques, and strategies for preparing for international tournaments.

"This seminar is specifically for brown belt holders and is completely free. I encourage karate enthusiasts from across the country to seize this valuable opportunity," Mhagama said.

The seminar will be led by former European karate champion Shihan Ali Tarabeih, who has already arrived in Tanzania to conduct the sessions.
