Digital auction platform PIKU has awarded three winners with valuable modern items after they emerged victorious in its latest online auction.
The top winner, Jenipher Ayoub, walked away with prizes worth Sh4 million from LG, including a refrigerator, a smart cooker with four burners (three gas and one electric), a washing machine, kitchen appliances, and a food processor.
Second-place winner Michel Ezekiel received a smartphone, a one-year internet bundle from Airtel, and Bluetooth speakers, while third-place winner Niyovita Shayo claimed a cosmetics set and a ladies’ wristwatch.
Speaking during the prize handover, PIKU Africa’s Communications Manager, Barnabas Mbunda, congratulated the winners and encouraged more Tanzanians to join the auctions to win life-changing prizes.
“We are giving away prizes such as cars, televisions, motorcycles, gold, and smartphones. We also plan to expand by offering winners opportunities to watch live matches such as Yanga vs Simba and other global league games,” he said.
He added that in the next 28 days, the winner with the lowest and most unique bid will receive a brand-new TVS motorcycle complete with safety gear, a six-month fuel card, insurance, and a Raum car.
Mbunda also explained the ticket purchasing process: 10 tickets cost Sh1,000, 50 tickets Sh5,000, 100 tickets Sh10,000, and 1,000 tickets Sh100,000.
He said buying more tickets increases the chances of winning.
Vivian Mboya, a representative from the Gaming Board of Tanzania, confirmed that the auction followed all official rules and procedures.
“The draws are transparent, and winners have received their prizes lawfully. I urge Tanzanians to participate and benefit from this opportunity,” she said.
Expressing her excitement, Ms. Jenipher Ayoub said she placed a bid of just Sh36,000 and won prizes worth Sh4 million.
“I saw the advert on Instagram and decided to try. I never expected to win, but I am very grateful to PIKU,” she said with joy.
Ms. Niyovita Shayo, who learned about the auction through a relative, praised the transparency of the process.
“This platform is genuine, and I thank PIKU for creating such opportunities for young people in Tanzania,” she said.
Ezekiel also expressed his gratitude, saying he discovered the auction on social media and will now serve as an ambassador to encourage others to join. “I am thankful for these prizes and will promote PIKU to other Tanzanians,” he said.
