Tanzania in Group A for Beach Kabaddi World Cup

Tanzania has been drawn in Group A for the Beach Kabaddi World Cup, set to run from September 23 to 29 at Port Dickenson beaches.

In the men’s category, Tanzania will face Pakistan, the USA, Hungary, and Afghanistan. Other groups include Malaysia, Hong Kong, Burundi, Azerbaijan, India, Kenya, Argentina, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, England, Canada, Sierra Leone, and China.

In the women’s tournament, Tanzania will compete against Hungary, Malaysia, and China. Other groups feature Sri Lanka, Kenya, England, Argentina, India, Pakistan, Hong Kong, and the Netherlands.

Abdallah Nyoni, Chairman of the Tanzania Kabaddi Association (TKSA), said the team is focused on preparation and giving its best on the world stage.

“This is a chance to showcase our players’ talent globally. With proper preparation, our team can compete and attract international attention,” Nyoni said.

The team will enter a joint training camp from September 9 ahead of the tournament. Nyoni urged stakeholders to support the squad, saying such backing is key for strong performance and future opportunities for Tanzanian players.
