The Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank (TADB) has praised President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan for her visionary leadership in empowering farmers through increased access to agricultural loans and inputs.

Speaking during the climax of the National Nane Nane Agricultural Exhibition held on August 8, 2025, in Dodoma, TADB’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Frank Nyabundege, highlighted the remarkable growth in the bank’s capital from TZS 60 billion to TZS 442 billion since the President’s commitment to strengthening the agricultural sector.

“This significant capital increase demonstrates the positive impact of the government’s support. As a result, TADB is proud to continue sponsoring the Nane Nane exhibitions for the next five years, recognizing their crucial role in enhancing the bank’s visibility and outreach to farmers,” Mr. Nyabundege said.

President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, who was the guest of honor at the event, reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to boosting agriculture as a key driver of Tanzania’s economic growth and food security.

TADB’s expanded capital base will enable more farmers across the country to access affordable loans for agricultural inputs, fostering productivity and sustainable development in the sector.

The bank’s partnership with government initiatives aligns with Tanzania’s broader vision to transform agriculture into a more commercially viable and competitive sector.
