The Tanzania Darts Association (TADA) has called on sports stakeholders to participate in the upcoming TADA Taifa Cup tournament scheduled to take place in Dodoma from August 29 to 31 this year.

According to TADA Secretary General Joseph Innocent, the competition aims to crown national champions while also identifying talented players who will form the national team for future international tournaments.

He explained that the event will begin on Friday, August 29, with contests between regional champions, followed by the club championship set for August 30 and 31 in Dodoma.

“Preparations are ongoing, and the tournament will feature two main categories: regional champions’ matches and the club championship, which will involve singles, doubles, and team competitions,” Innocent said.

Participation fees have been set at TZS 60,000 per regional team, while club entries will range between TZS 20,000, TZS 40,000, and TZS 80,000, depending on the category.

Innocent further noted that winners will walk away with cash prizes and trophies, adding that the association expects strong competition as regions and clubs battle for national glory.

He urged team leaders to adequately prepare their players, stressing that the tournament is an opportunity to showcase skill, promote darts, and select the best talent to represent Tanzania at international level.
