Samia Netball Cup heats up in Dar es Salaam

The Samia Netball Cup is gathering pace, with teams delivering intense performances in matches played on August 13 at the Magomeni Garden grounds in Dar es Salaam.

Ulipo Tulipo stamped their authority with a convincing 48–37 win over Magereza, while Eagle and Comforty battled fiercely to a 29–29 stalemate, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.

Veta JKT also made their mark, cruising past CBE with a dominant 38–18 victory, further cementing their status as strong contenders in the tournament.

The action continues on Friday, August 15, with four fixtures set to light up the Magomeni Garden court. JKT will open the day against KIUT, followed by a clash between Eagle and Veta JKT. Ulipo Tulipo will then lock horns with TBS, before the curtain comes down with a showdown between Upenda and Comforty.

Named in honor of President Samia Suluhu Hassan, the tournament is fast becoming a highlight on the city’s sporting calendar, drawing crowds eager to witness high-energy netball and spirited competition.
