The Chief Executive Officer of the Agency for the Development of Educational Management (ADEM), Dr. Maulid J. Maulid, has joined board chairpersons and chief executives from various public entities in a high-level leadership dialogue taking place in Arusha from August 23 to 26, 2025.
The workshop, organized by the Office of the Treasury Registrar, was officially opened by Vice President Dr. Phillip Isidor Mpango on behalf of President Samia Suluhu Hassan.
Its central focus is institutional performance—how to align public entities with national development priorities while ensuring efficiency, accountability, and innovation.
According to the organizers, the meeting provides a platform for exchanging insights on strategic governance, identifying operational challenges, and developing practical solutions for better service delivery.
Public institutions are under growing pressure to justify their relevance by improving efficiency and contributing to the government’s socio-economic transformation agenda.
Leaders emphasized the need for accountability and collaboration with the private sector as critical levers for enhancing productivity and sustaining reforms.
Stronger partnerships are seen as a pathway to better resource utilization, improved citizen services, and reduced dependency on state subsidies.
The meeting reflects an increasing recognition that institutional governance goes beyond compliance—it demands agility, innovation, and results-oriented leadership.
Discussions are expected to generate actionable strategies that bridge policy intentions and implementation realities.
The workshop concludes on August 26, 2025, with Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Dotto Biteko scheduled to preside over the closing session, signaling the government’s continued commitment to public sector reform and performance improvement.
